Terms of service

These terms and conditions set out the basis on which you may use our website and purchase goods and services from Four & Co. By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. About us

Four & Co. is a personalised embroidery, gifts and accessories business operating from a home studio in Glasgow, Scotland. You can contact us at fourandcouk@gmail.com.

2. Our products and services

We offer two ways to order:

• Supplied By Us — we source the item, personalise it, and ship the finished product to you.
• You Supply — you send us an item you own, or have an item delivered to our studio directly from a retailer. We embroider it and post it back to you. In this case you are purchasing the embroidery service, not the base item.

3. Placing an order

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. A contract is formed only when we send you an order confirmation. We reserve the right to decline any order.

You are responsible for the accuracy of all personalisation details you provide, including spelling, names, dates, font choice and thread colour. We produce items exactly as submitted. Please check your details carefully before completing checkout.

4. Pricing and payment

All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Payment is taken in full at the time of ordering.

We make every effort to ensure prices are accurate. In the event of an obvious pricing error, we will contact you before processing your order and you may cancel without charge.

5. Turnaround and delivery

Items are made to order by hand. Estimated turnaround times are shown on our product pages and are estimates rather than guarantees. Turnaround begins from the date we receive your item, where applicable.

We currently ship to the United Kingdom only. Delivery timescales and costs are set out in our Shipping Policy.

We are not liable for delays caused by postal services or events outside our reasonable control.

6. Items sent to us

Where you send an item to our studio, the following applies:

• Risk in the item during transit to and from our studio rests with you. We recommend a tracked, insured service.
• You must include your full name and order number inside the parcel.
• You confirm that you own the item and have the right to have it altered.
• Embroidery is a permanent alteration involving piercing the fabric. You accept this risk when sending an item.
• Our total liability in respect of a customer-supplied item is limited to the value of the embroidery service purchased.
• We may decline to embroider items we consider unsuitable, and will refund the embroidery cost if so.
• We will hold uncollected or unclaimed items for 90 days, after which we may dispose of them.

7. Custom designs and intellectual property

Where you supply artwork, a logo or a design to be embroidered, you confirm that you own the rights to it or have permission to use it. You agree to indemnify us against any claim arising from our use of material you supply.

We reserve the right to decline any request that we believe infringes third-party rights, or that we consider offensive or unlawful.

All content on this website, including images, text and our branding, remains the property of Four & Co.

8. Photography

We may photograph finished work for our website and social media. If you would prefer we did not photograph your order, simply let us know and we will not.

9. Returns and cancellation

Because our items are personalised, specific rules apply. Please see our Return and Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Subject to the above, our total liability arising from any order is limited to the total amount paid for that order.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you place your order is the version that applies.
